Carey was a high fashion model, who measures at 5'10", was popular with American fashion houses like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. She is the daughter of an outstanding geologist who was in 1979 named Scientist of the year from the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was brought up all over the planet as a consequence of the work of her father. As she was attending in the University of Colorado, Carey began modeling on the side. An agent from Ford's model agency located in New York noticed her and asked for help. She briefly spent time and studied in Paris after which she returned in New York. Her modeling and college career took off and she was featured on the covers of Glamour's and Vogue's and many other magazine covers. While modeling she also studied the study of literature in New York University. She became more interested in acting and started training at the Neighborhood Playhouse of New York. Her debut as an actor was an appearance in the film with Robin Williams in the 1986 film 'Club Paradise. When she is not working she loves skiing, windsurfing, climbing rocks and whitewater rafting.
