Awkwafina
Awkwafina is an American actor and performer who made her name with smart raps that addressed the issues of sexuality and race with a an edgy, comical perspective. Her career then grew into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living from Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was through the instrument of trumpet. In the following years, she took up hip-hop and classical training. While at school, she majored in journalism and women's studies, and was learning Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. Not until after graduation did she start focusing on music. Following her viral success on the Internet, her track My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto the album she released, Yellow Ranger. The album also contained were other viral hits including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$. This song is directly connected to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. A musician and author was in her portfolio, she decided to began looking for a third endeavor actor. Aside from early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed several major roles like Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released in June.
