Robyn Rihanna Fenty also referred to as Rihanna by the Barbadians is a singer/songwriter. Her hits comprise Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella, and Take a Bow. She is a very popular artist who has sold more than 41 million albums across the globe and more than 150 million songs. Her birthplace was in Barbados and had a childhood filled to reggae. When she began to sing, she became an accomplished singer. When she was disturbed by the turbulent nature of her household life, and her constant battles with her father she was absorbed with music. In the end, she discovered she was meant to become a professional. They formed a group while still in high school and was able to have perform with producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed by the teenager's talents. In order to make money in the field of professional singing she was asked to move into New York. Rihanna became a huge hit as her debut album landed on the shelves. Young people were captivated by her catchy songs which had them on their feet, and this brought her into the film industry. Young and talented, her name is today considered a popular teen star and style icon. Rihanna uses her celebrity for good and is active in a variety of charities.
